Fostering Staff Wellbeing and Resilience in Challenging Times

KEYNOTE SPEAKER

Melinda is a teacher and coaching psychologist with over 20 years of experience supporting schools, with a strong focus on educator wellbeing and whole-school mental health. Drawing on her honours and Masters research into compassion fatigue, burnout, and engagement in Australian schools, she brings a deep understanding of school environments and the challenges staff face.
She supports individual educators, school leaders, and whole-school teams through coaching, program facilitation, and therapeutic support. Her work spans strategic wellbeing planning, trauma-informed practice, and social-emotional learning.
Melinda’s compassionate, tailored approach empowers schools to identify goals, build strategic action plans, and foster sustainable wellbeing. She has taught K–12 and held leadership roles across multiple sectors, including Catholic and independent education. An Associate Certified Coach with the International Coach Federation, Melinda combines structure with empathy to guide schools through both planned and unexpected change.
